Lynarstraße 35 - 37
Climate-resilient neighborhood development
Description
The 2,887 m² site on Lynarstraße is located in the Sprengelkiez in the Mitte district of Berlin. Here, hedera is planning to build a climate-adapted and CO2-neutral residential building with around 9,000 m² of living space on 7 floors with spacious, individual apartment layouts facing the Sparrplatz green area and the quiet inner courtyard. The courtyard is designed as a garden with a dense stock of trees and shrubs, a green-covered wall and a biotope with rainwater storage and evaporation areas. On hot days and during the more frequent tropical nights, it will act as a green lung and natural cooling source for the residents.
There are plans to cover the entire electricity consumption of the residents through extensive photovoltaic systems on the roof surfaces and on the south facade. In this way, the surface heating of the building and the emission load in the apartments can be significantly and simultaneously reduced in this urban location to enable healthy living conditions and quiet, sustainable living.
